Empty Homes Figures 2008 /2009
New November 2010: Following numerous comments that there were inaccuracies in the Government Empty Homes 2009 breakdown. Empty Homes have carried out research to improve the accuracy of the 2009 statistics on empty homes. The data published here is based on government HSSA 2009 statistics, but over eighty fields have been amended (as shown) to provide more accurate data which became available later following discussions with the local authority. Where local authorities acknowledged errors in the original data but were not able to provide the correct data Empty Homes have used contempory data from another source CTB1 (council tax data) which also shows empty homes by local authority area.
