North London Sub-Region Survey On Empty Properties
This volume contains the findings from a postal self-completion survey with owners of long-term private empty properties in the North London Sub-Region (NLSR) conducted by Ipsos MORI. The NLSR covers six London Boroughs (LBs) - Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, Islington and Westminster
The purpose of the research was to understand the reasons why privately owned properties in the NLSR have been empty for some time, to determine what obstacles exist to bringing the properties back into use, and to identify possible solutions.
Nearly 300,000 Homes Empty For More Than Six Months - Halifax Research
This is the third Halifax survey of Empty Homes in England. An empty home is defined as a property, which has remained vacant for more than six months. The Empty Homes National Week of Action runs from October 23rd to October 27th 2006. The research in this report is based on data from the Department for Communities & Local Government (DCLG), the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and Halifax's own extensive housing database.
